Wine bought from a retired wine distributor in 2015 in Haro, La Rioja. Stored in private cellar up to today in exceptional conditions. Fully mature and therefore drinking well now, or cellar for next 20-25 years. One of the rarest white wines and vintages produced in RIoja. The outbreak of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and the post-war situation stopped the bottling. The wine was not bottled, due to the serious financial difficulties experienced at the time by the winery in the postwar period. The whole vintage remained in an old wooden vat for 15 more years. Racked and bottled in 1946 by the former Bodegas del Romeral, in Fuenmayor village. Those bottles were never placed on the market and they were sold or given, only bottle by bottle, to loyal customers. Mariano J. Lacort was one of the founders of the most traditional wineries in Rioja (Federico Paternina, La Rioja Alta). The winery was located in Haro village, across the street of R. López de Heredia - Viña Tondonia, in "El Barrio de la Estación".
