DESCRIPTION:
The ceramics of the Chimú culture fulfill both functions, for daily or domestic use and for ceremonial offerings. Artisans of the Chimú culture worked in metallurgical workshops divided into sections for each of the specialized treatment of metals. They used molds in the manufacture of pottery from the Chimú culture, and the vessels were often made from smaller components. Numerous forms of vessels and decorations similar to Moche ceramics. The vessels of the Chimú culture were baked in an oxygen-deficient space, which is the reason for their characteristic dark color. With all these techniques, the inhabitants of the Chimú culture produced a large number of objects such as glasses, knives, containers , bracelets, pins, crowns, etc.
