Original Oil on Canvas Still Life Painting Original oil painting by Spanish postwar painter Ira Monte (1918-) depicts a somberly painted floral still life arrangement in muted tones. Still actively working at 104 years old, Monte imbues an antiqued feel onto contemporary work, and is well known for their paintings of tropical birds, flower winaries and landscapes rendered in earthy hues. Housed in an ornate gold frame that includes a museum light, this original still life is signed by Monte in the lower right hand corner of the canvas. Studied in Fine Arts Academy, Barcelona 1937-1941, Academia de Belles Artes, Madrid 1954.
