Roman Gandhara statues represent a fascinating fusion of cultures. These artifacts, found in the Gandhara region of modern-day Pakistan and Afghanistan, depict Greco-Roman features combined with Buddhist iconography. Condition:
Overall in good condition. Some abrasion caused by age. This Bodhisattva's head is carved in high relief, with chisel marks visible on the back; the Bodhisattva's face and head crown are generally intact, with part of the earring on the right ear missing. The missing part above the head crown caused by chiseling down the wall for the rest of the wall. Overall surface is covered with soil. No restoration.
