“Located in the heart of Graves, in Pessac-Léognan, Château Haut-Bailly presents here a cuvée crafted from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grapes. The vines that produce this wine are meticulously tended by hand with the utmost respect. The wines are aged for 18 months in oak barrels, with 50% to 65% being renewed each year. Human intervention is kept to a minimum to allow the juice to express its terroir. The predominance of Cabernet Sauvignon gives these wines a noble character and exceptional aging potential, while also being sought after for their suppleness and balance. The color of this vintage is deep with violet highlights. The nose offers a complex array of ripe black fruits as well as sweet spices. The woody notes are present and support the ensemble. The palate is impressively rounded, finishing with a smooth, lingering finale.”
