A rare, beautiful piece. A real collector's item! Hand-painted glazes on cast and hand-made terracotta. Approx. 1940, Budapest, Hungary I couldn't find a signature. Height: 24 cm She was trained as a ballet dancer, but on the advice of her parents, she entered the artistic field. She completed her studies between 1926-29 at the National School of Applied Arts, majoring in ceramics. After graduating from school, she made several study trips to Germany and Paris. In 1931, she opened her own workshop in Budapest, at 1 Rákos utca. She is a regularly exhibiting artist, appearing in almost all major exhibitions. In 1935, at the World Exhibition in Brussels, she received a certificate of honor with a large gold medal. In 1939, she opened a studio in Paris and fulfilled her foreign orders from there until 1941. In 1949 she emigrated to France. She lives in Paris and mainly teaches ceramics, then at the request of her students, she moves to Canada and actively participates in the artistic life there until her death.
