Katana - Tamahagane - Kashu-Ju Iseno-Daijo Fujiwara Kaneshige - Japan - Späte Edo-Zeit

【Summary】 ・A masterpiece of Wakizashi(脇差) by Kaneshige (兼重), known for his mastery of the Shin-Shinto(新新刀) of Kashu sword(加州刀). ・The front is engraved with the name Kashu-Ju Iseno-Daijo Fujiwara Kaneshige(加州住伊勢大掾藤原兼重), and the back is engraved with the date, 2nd year of Man'en era, February LUCKY day (万延二年二月吉日). ・The Wakizashi is authenticated by NBTHK(Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai) as "Tokubetsu Hozon Token(specially preserved sword)". The certificate paper is included in the set. ・The set also includes a well-made koshirae and a brightly colored sword bag. 【About Kaneshige(兼重)】 ・Kaneshige(兼重) was a master swordsmith of the Shin-Shinto (swords made after 1772), and produced swords with deep floral patterns. ・Kaneshige was born in 1815 as the eldest brother of Kanehisa VIII(八代兼久). After training under Kanehisa, he became independent under the name "Kaneshige" and produced many masterpieces. ・In 1859, he received the official title of " Iseno-Daijo(伊勢大掾)" an honorary title given to only a few people. The official title "Kashu-Ju Iseno-Daijo(加州住伊勢大掾)" is clearly engraved on this Wakizashi. It is also important to note that this name engraving is certified by NBTHK as an authentic one by Kaneshige. ・He is known as one of the most representative swordsmiths in Kashu at the end of the Edo period, and all of Kaneshige's works have a deep and elegant atmosphere. All in all, we are proud to recommend this piece to Japanese sword lovers. 【Blade/Koshirae/Swordbag】 ・The Wakizashi itself is well preserved, although there are some small damages that may be caused by battle in some places. ・Koshirae is in good condition. ・Sword Bag has gleaming colors. 【Attention before bid】 ・This is a truly domestic Japanese sword that has never left Japan. When exporting, an export permit must be obtained. It takes about 20 business days from the time the buyer makes payment to the time the transportation process begins. This is because exporting Japanese swords requires permission from the Agency for Cultural Affairs. ・Export of Japanese swords from Japan to other countries is restricted. Depending on the situation of the shipping company and your country of residence, it may not be possible to ship. We will of course do our best to send the item, but if no carrier is available, we have no choice but to cancel the transaction. (So far we have been able to transport them without any problems in most cases.) ・Regardless of the carrier's situation, China and Russia are banned from importing Japanese swords.
