Longines - Platinum Pocket Watch - 18.89M - 1901-1949

A rare, sought-after and extremely collectable pocket watch from Longines - a luxury Swiss watchmaker with a rich & historic horological pedigree to match. Founded in 1832, it is based in St Imier in Switzerland. A handcrafted Longines open-faced pocket watch cased in Platinum (PT 950) with a crystal glass. The platinum case has matching serial numbers with movement and also fully hallmarked (caseback & bow) and also the dial has the same kind of engraving with the case. The hour and minute hands are blued and in tulin shape which I believe very rarely seen. The original serial number 3'766'856 identifies an open face pocket watch in 18ct grey gold (french: or gris). It is fitted with a Longines manually wound mechanical movement, caliber 18.89M. It was invoiced on 12 September 1927 to the company Zenetos, which was at that time the agent for Greece. Priced to sell and a bargain for a platinum pocket watch, let alone an established brand like Longines! Exluding the crown 44mm Crown included 48mm Thickness 8.5mm Case Material platinum Period 1920's Orgin Switzerland All products shared on our page are sent after mechanical checks are carried out before they are sent to you.
