After 17 years in my private property I am selling this original Willys Hotchkiss M 201. The Hotchkiss M201 was a Jeep of the French manufacturer Hotchkiss. After the second world war, many American war material was left behind in Europe and put into service by the French army. Initially Delahaye made its own Jeep after the war, the Delahaye VLR, but this wasn’t a succes. Hotchkiss was licensed to build the original Willys MB Jeep. There were only made a limited number of adjustments for the M201. Between 1955 and 1966 almost 28,000 copies of this vehicle were built. Both the manual transmission and the four cylinder engine run good. We used it on weekends and on Liberation day and always rode with red license plates (in Germany). Of course this car can also be registered in your country. The car is logged off from France and can be registered in your country by means of an attached certificate. It's nice to to come forth with it and use it to drive. We had to make an adjustment. The driver’s seat has been put back because otherwise it would be difficult to drive for taller people. The Willys has always been in Europe in a dry hall and has no rust. Before that the Willys was used in Algeria by the French army. It has never been restored and I bought it like this 17 years ago. It has been updated here and there with original army paint. Maintenance booklets and the like are not available for these vehicles. The original jerrycan, shovel and axe are there. I haven’t cleaned the car before the photo shoot to preserve the originality. The car can be viewed and collected in Hannover Germany.
