Completely restored Sonett from 1971. The car was originally supplied in the USA and was brought to Hungary in 2007. There, the engine was overhauled and the car was fully disassembled (photos of this are available). The car was then reassembled with original parts. The restoration took over a year, the Sonett is now better than ever. The car is a real coupe for up to 2 people. The headlights are mechanically operated. Unusual for this Saab, is that it was the first type with a two-stroke engine that came with a neutral. This means the transmission was disconnected from the drive. The car features a water-cooled V4 engine which was supplied by Ford at the time. During the revision the bearings, seals etc were replaced. The cylinders were honed and the pistons have new springs. Since the overhaul, the car has driven approx. 250 km. In contrast to many Sonetts, this car is equipped with small bumpers. The car was inspected in 2016 for registration in Hungary as a classic car. This inspection means the car must be both technically and visually in perfect condition. The inspection was passed was with flying colours. This car also has an MOT (periodic vehicle inspection) until June 2021. Not many Sonetts were made, you will not find another one in such condition. The car is complete with spare wheel and some spare parts. Plus an extra standard wheel mounted under the car. Hungarian papers, admissible anywhere in the EU. Of course, the car will receive Dutch blue plates in the Netherlands. A Dutch registration can be supplied at cost.
