Beautiful, rare sewing thread cabinet or haberdashery cabinet by Gütermann, 6 drawers with 30 compartments each. Dates back to approx. 1920. The cabinet has a deep red colour. The drawers come with an original, metal, shell-shaped handle which is characteristic for the Jugendstil period. This is a unique object which still looks good after 100 years. The names on every drawer and at the top and back are still fully intact. Most drawers still contain sewing silk, haberdasheries and buttons. Its condition is good. The cabinet has some age-related wear which give it even more appeal. At the back/bottom, there’s some minor damage to the edges, which is not noticeable when the cabinet is placed in upright position (see final photo). Size: 38x38x38cm. Weight: 8.1 kg.
