Campo del Cielo Μετεωρίτης σιδήρου - 1.5 kg
The Campo del Cielo meteorite came to Earth approximately 4,500 years ago, falling in the current Argentina the largest metallic meteorites shower known to mankind. It was used by the pre-Columbian to manufacture metal utensils and it produced true astonishment to the Spanish conquerors upon their arrival in the Americas.
In this batch we offer a real geometric fragment of metallic Campo del Cielo meteorite with a very aesthetic shape. One side is polished, another one shows a Widmanstätten pattern which are typical of meteorites, and the third one was treated with emery, so that we can see a superb shine. The rest retains its exterior in the shape of dark fusion crust, representing the material cast in its way through the Earth's atmosphere.
Spectacular large size specimen to add to your collection.
As members of the IMCA (International Meteorite Collectors Association) we guarantee the authenticity of all our pieces. Purchase with a warranty.
