The Q4 four-wheel drive system (Viscomatic) was developed in collaboration with Steyr-Puch. The entire system is connected to the ABS and to the Bosch injection system. The power on the rear axle is continuously variable between 0% and 100%, the car can thus be front-wheel driven as well as four-wheel driven based on what a certain situation demands. The Alfa Romeo 164 Q4 is equipped with a Getrag 6-speed manual gearbox. The Alfa has only had 2 owners and it was originally delivered in the Netherlands. Despite the fact that the car was already fairly experienced (238,000 km) at that point in time, everything was addressed. In 2010, a new V6 24V engine was placed, running perfectly smooth and without any noise. The engine only ran about 25,000 km. The carriage was addressed and completely repainted (including the two-tone plastic parts) in 2018. For a perfect finish, the lacquer was completely colour-sanded (sanded with very fine sandpaper and then polished) resulting in a mirror-smooth finish.
