He specialised in sports, dance and nude photography. Until 1933, Riebicke published sports and nude photos in countless books and magazines. In 1926 Riebicke was still photographer for the first German body culture film "Wege zu Kraft und Schönheit.” In the year 2000, a book was published based on his first monographic exhibition of his nude photographs by the Bodo Niemann Gallery, Berlin. In 2002, a comprehensive retrospective was exhibited at the Museum of Photography in Moscow. The complete archive was destroyed in Berlin in WWII. The majority of his photos are therefore unique.
