1977 Mercedes 300D auto (Diplomatic version). HISTORY This Mercedes 300D was initially purchased by the USA Embassy in Portugal and had a diplomatic plate / registration from 1977 until 1982 - 1985. The car was barely used (as it was not the principal car of the embassy) and was then purchased by the family of the President Of Portuguese Republic (Dr. António Ramalho Eanes - President of Portuguese Republic from 1976 - 1986 at the time). It was registered in the name of the brother of the President (J. Ramalho Eanes) in 15-01-1985 as can be confirmed by the original documents the are with the car. From that time it stood stored (along with a small collection of MB cars) and used from time to time. Recently (2016) it was bought by a classic car collector the has kept it until today. (all documented). The car has a Historic Interest Certificate (FIVA) that will go along with the car. MECHANICS The car is in excellent condition for its age and has very little mileage done (belived to be only 164838 km, but non verifiable). It has nothing to be done. BODYWORK Has been repainted some years ago and it is in good condition. It has sunroof. INTERIOR In very good original conditions, beautiful original blue upholstery.
