Ford - Mustang Convertible GT-500 Eleanor Tribute. Fully documented body-off/frame-off restoration of the rare convertible “Classic recreations” tribute to the famous ‘Eleanor’ GT500. Equipped with a new 2023 Ford 351W V8 engine with Holley Deamon carburator delivering around 360 BHP. The automatic C4 transmission was fully renewed in 2022/2023 The car is accompanied by an extensive history file, including a Certificate of Authenticity confirming that the car is recognised by the Eleanor World Registry as #086. This Mustang left the Michigan production line and was later exported to the Netherlands where an extensive fully documented body off restoration and modification took place. A 351W Windsor V8, C4 Super Streeter automatic transmission, nine-inch rear end with limited-slip differential was installed and side-exit exhausts were neatly integrated into the side skirts of the “Classic Recreations” Eleanor body kit. The car is finished in metallic black with contrasting silver stripes, which are painted underneath the lacquer. The body and paint are in great condition with possible tiny marks of usage. The cars sits on a set of 17-inch chrome Chip Foose alloy wheels, housing red front brake calipers. The cabin is trimmed in black vinyl with silver seat faces, and is fitted with Phantom Auto Meter instruments, a stereo, GT500 badging, and a black rollover bar. Accompanying the car is the Certificate of Authenticity and numerous invoices and receipts and the documented restoration. The car is currently registered in Belgium. All paperwork for this has been done and is present. No bodywork damage has been sustained since the restoration and conversion, and the seller is not aware of any prior damage. The resprayed paintwork is said to be in very good condition, showing some minor chips and scratches. Inside, the partially retrimmed cabin is in good shape. There light creasing and wear on the front seats, the door cards have been left original and unrestored to keep the “patina” but could be easily restored if wanted. This is a distinctive and imposing convertible Mustang, fully reimagined as an official tribute to the famous ‘Eleanor’ GT500 and is recognised by the Eleanor World Registry. It runs and drives very well. This Mustang would make an interesting addition to any collection as well as a head-turning weekend cruiser which is sure to excite each time with its muscular V8.
