An aventurine quartz half human half animal deity bead talisman from the ancient Burmese culture, Samon Valley, 800 BC - 200 AD.
In good condition. It has been cleaned in a tumbler, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient, hand cutting, carving, boring and grinding.The holes are ancient,hand-made,irregular.
Purchased in 1980 / Yangon by Dr. Zelnik during a diplomatic mission in the region.
