Fettercairn Fasque 42% abv A rare release from Fettercairn Distillery. Fasque was launched alongside another non-age statement expression called Fior during a rebranding of the distillery core range in 2010. Both were discontinued and replaced by a new 12 year old in 2018. This is aged in 100% first-fill bourbon barrels and offers a superb introduction to one of the great whisky regions of Scotland. Tasting Notes: Nose: Seaspray, sliced apple, lemon zest and toasted oak Taste: Syrup, melted brown sugar, orange marmalade, tangy pineapple, creamy oak vanilla Finish: Long with gentle ground ginger and cinnamon spiciness Tomintoul Tawny Port Finish 40% abv A unique small batch bottling by handpicking Tomintoul whiskies matured in premium ex-bourbon American oak barrels. These whiskies are then blended and refined in carefully chosen Tawny Port barriques from Portugal. This meticulous 'finishing' technique results in a single malt scotch whisky of remarkable richness, depth, and complexity. Tasting Notes: Nose: Indulgent berry fruits, bramble jam and dark chocolate cushioned with nutmeg and cherry liqueur. Palate: A wash of blackcurrants, blueberries and Black Forest gateau bound with cosy oak spices and mocha coffee.
