Beautiful Officina Alessi "ROSENSCHALE" centrepiece / bowl On behalf of Alessi, Peter Arnell and Ted Bickford reconstructed in 1983 a 1906 design by Josef Hoffmann, co-founder of the Vienna Secession (the Austrian Art Nouveau) and central figure of the Wiener Werkstätte he founded. No drawings or sketches of this design were retained, only a photograph of the prototype. With the help of, among other things, 3D computer simulation and image processing, the scale was reconstructed on the basis of that one old photograph, a technological feat in 1983. The bowl was given the name "Rosenschale" because of the decoration with stylized roses, also one of the symbols of the Wiener Werkstätte. The Rosenschale was released by Alessi in the Officina Alessi collection, the luxury label with innovative, experimental and exclusive designs. All products from this collection are individually numbered and are given the Officina stamp. Designed by Josef Hoffmann in 1906, and reconstructed by Ted Bickford & Peter Arnell in 1983. The centerpiece is made of silver-plated brass; EPB, with dimensions: Ø 23 cm. x h. 8 cm. Marked with the Officina Alessi brand name mark. It was produced for a very short time, in an individually numbered Limited Edition. So this stunning centrepiece is becoming more valuable every day!
