Various bench (special edition Milano 2024) by Mae Engelgeer The Various series are an exploration on curved steel by using the same radius to bend all corners. It is a search for an elegant play of tubes in different diameter creating a slightly bold yet very airy and refined aesthetic. The smooth touch of Dutch traceable leather in slightly uncommon hues creates a tonal connection between all materials giving the pieces an imposing yet smooth appearance. Catawiki & Masterly 2024 For Catawiki Mae collected a vintage kimono in Kyoto, Japan with an uncommon pattern and soft color palette. In combination with a custom color for the frame and the pink leather it creates a special which fits the language of the various bench and her signature coloring. ITEM is an Amsterdam based design label. We produce high-end and uncompromising design furniture that stands out: centerpieces that people keep for the rest of their lives. Collaborating with a wide range of talented designers, we develop and build all our items in-house. Each ITEM is therefore unique, produced sustainably and with the utmost care.
