尾竹竹坡 Otake Chikuha (1878-1936)
Born in Niigata City. His real name is Somekichi, and his father is Otake Kuramatsu. At the age of 4, he studied under Sasada Unseki of the Nanshu school and received the pseudonym Chikuou.
Ukiyoe artist and Japanese-style painter from the Meiji to Showa periods. He is one of the three so-called Otake brothers. Otake Etsudo is his elder brother and Otake Kokkan is his younger brother.
