The first interpretation of Burmese human god in a form of a red agate bead talisman from the ancient Burmese culture, Samon Valley, 800 BC - 200 AD. +- Similar pieces are published in the book : Burmese Gemstone Amulets and Talismans Vol.2. from the Collection of Dr. Zelnik.

In good condition. They have been cleaned, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient, hand forming, cutting, carving, boring and grinding. The holes are ancient, hand-made, irregular. The holes have been over drilled with modern techniques to make the piece wearable when the ancient holes obstructed. Traces of use and age on its surface.

Purchased in 1980/Yangon by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market during his diplomatic mission in the region.
