1975 Château Vincent , Canon-Fronsac The Canon-Fronsac AOC extends over 280 ha, west of Libourne. With Fronsac the name Canon-Fronsac form the Fronsadais, an important part of the Libournais. On soils are close to those of Saint-Emilion, made up of limestone asterries and Molasse of the Fronsadais, Canon-Fronsac produces 13 000 hl of red wines each year. The wines of Canon-Fronsac are made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The conjugation of these different elements gives fairly delicate wines that keep a solid tannic structure. The wines of the AOC Canon-Fronsac are distinguished by their aromas of red berries and spices and which are transformed over time into flavors of truffles. Vintage description 1975 Bordeaux An extraordinary vintage for Bordeaux. Despite some violent storms during August and September, the harvest was very good with perfectly ripe grapes. Rich, strong and extremely tannic, these wines have a good cellaring capacity. Today, there are huge differences in quality between the crus, some are austere and closed, while others are rich and deep. The Pomerols, and to a lesser extent the Saint Emilions, appear to be more harmonious than the Médoc wines. There are also some exceptional Graves, such as la Mission Haut-Brion and Haut-Brion. Autumn proved to be favourable for Sauternes. The wines are remarkably balanced and fine.
