Maya the Honey Bee Willy Production Cel with Face Animation Drawing (Nippon Animation, c. 1975-76) Maya's skeptical best friend Willy is featured here in this delightful hand-painted original production cel from the 1975 anime series Maya the Honey Bee. Based on the German children's book by Waldemar Bonsels, Maya the Honey Bee is extremely popular in Europe. It is the most successful adaptation of the beloved children's book to date. This is a charming image of Willy, measuring 13cm" x 18.4cm" on the 12 field cel. The drawing is joined by an animation drawing of a face, possibly from the series, rendered in graphite and color pencil on animation paper. The cel is numbered 110 A11 End, and the drawing is numbered B4. Minor handling and edge wear with light paint debris and staple holes near the top edges. The condition is Very Good.
