Obverse: King standing facing, holding sword and shield, in ship with bowsprit; Є on banner on stern; rose on hull; trefoil stops in legend (♣).
O/legend: ЄD — ♣ ♣ WΛRD' ♣ DI ♣ GRΛ’ ♣ RЄX ♣ ΛnGL’ ♣ Σ ♣ ДRΛn — C DnS’ ♣ I ♣ B’
Reverse: Radiant sun with rose in center, on flowered cross with crowned leopards in the corners; fleurs in spandrels; unusual legend variety TRANSIES instead of TRANSIENS; trefoil stops (♣) or double trefoil stops ( ♣♣) in legend
R/legend: ♛ IhC’ ♣ ΛVT’ ♣ TRΛnSIЄS ♣ PЄR ♣ mЄDIVm ♣ ILLORVm ♣ ♣ I ♣ ♣ BΛT
