A superb (probably) Yongzheng period lobed porcelain cup and saucer, the cup measuring 7.5cm in diameter, the saucer measuring 11.5cm in diameter, finely painted in famille verte enamels with décor of a central lotus flower with four leaves and four vines, surrounded by three cartouches: A leaf-shaped reserve containing precious objects, a pomegranate-shaped reserve containing three fruits and a reserve shaped as a cluster of Lingzhi fungus, containing a lotus. The cartouches are connected by a band of lotus flowers with scrolling golden vines on a blue ground and interspersed with butterflies. Cup and saucer both have the same intricate décor. Condition: Cup with chip 5mm to the side, no hairlines. Saucer with hairline 21mm, no other issues detected. Minor wear commensurate with age.
