(Suzuki Shonen, June 14, 1848 - January 29, 1918) was a Japanese painter active from the Meiji period to the Taisho period. His real name is Ken, and his childhood name is Hyakutaro. His first name was Hyakusen (also known as Hyakusen), but he changed it to Shonen around the age of 32. He is the eldest son of Suzuki Hyakunen, the founder of the Suzuki school, and his younger brothers are Suzuki Hyakusui and Suzuki Mannen. He is also known as Uemura Shoen's first teacher.
His free-spirited style and arrogant personality, in contrast to his father's quiet style, earned him the reputation of being the ``second coming of Soga Shohaku,'' and earned him the nickname Shohaku.
