These beautifully crafted African shields were first made by the Bamileke clan of Cameroon, part of an area known as the Cameroon Grasslands.
While these shields are no longer used in battle, they are currently used for ceremonial and symbolic purposes as they represent local rites and custom of the Bamileke tribe.
Diameter is 30 cm. Stand is included and is 15x15 cm. The total height including stand is 46 cm.
These shields are expressive sculptural art pieces that are favorites of decorators, designers and lovers of African art.
This shield is a one-of-a kind unique piece.
We put them on a stand to create your perfect ‘ethnic chic’ statement piece.
