Light Dandyism Iwata Nakayama Heibonsha Ltd./Japanese/1987/213*273*8 Dandyism of Light," a collection of photographs by Japanese photographer Iwata Nakayama (1895-1949), who entered the newly established temporary photography department of the Tokyo Fine Arts School in 1915. In 1921, he opened his own "Lacan Studio" and became active as a portrait photographer, but in 1926, he moved to France. In 1932, he published the first issue of the photographic magazine "Kōga" with Ihei Kimura and others. This book is the first comprehensive collection of representative works by Iwata Nakayama, a leading figure in the emerging photography movement. The works in this book show the international sensibility of his contemporaries, including his work in New York and Paris, as well as his modernist tastes in photomontage and composition after his return to Japan.
