This is an absolutely beautiful statue portraying Sheena, Queen of the Jungle. She originated as a Comic Book character published by Fiction House in 1942. Created by perhaps the greatest of the early Comic Book Visionaries, Will Eisner, Sheena eventually left the printed page to appear in movies and on television. Notably portrayed by the beautiful Irish McCalla on the small screen in the mid-1950s, the character has been often imitated but seldom matched. My cousin, Doug, told me on occassion, that she was the mother of one of his best friends. I was never able to meet her though (Rats!). Sculpted and painted by Joy and Tom Studios in cooperation with Reelart and distributed by Dark Horse. Statue comes fully painted and ready for display. Measures 9 1/2" tall by 6" wide.
