This pair of vases represents a beautiful pair of original pantinated spelter figural vases, entitled "La Nuit or Le Soir ( The Night or The Evening )" and " Le Soleil or Le Matin ( The Sun or The Morning) ", by Louis Moreau (1855-1919). This pair is shown in Berman's Bronzes, Sculptors & Founders in plates 3754-3755 on pages 974-975 of Edition IV. Or You can find this pair in the book: Etains 1900, 200 sculpteurs de la Belle Époque., Philippe Dahan, amateur editions. Each is signed "L Moreau".
