Βάζο - Πορσελάνη, Ένα χοντρό βάζο επικαλυμμένο με λευκό γλάσο - Ιαπωνία (χωρίς τιμή ασφαλείας)

This is a vase made by Okamoto Akira of Sakatsu-yaki kiln. The vase, based on white color, is somewhat thick and coated with a thick glaze. The black dots and lines are areas where the white glaze is not applied, adding depth to the fusion of these two patchy patterns. Additionally, there are small protrusions on the sides of the upper part, which create a significant impact. One side towards the bottom has a slightly bluish hue. Sakatsu-yaki was first established by the founder Okamoto Suetaro (also known as Togyoku) in 1869 (Meiji 2) at the foot of Mt. Tsurugata, in the town of Ebisu, using clay from Kurashiki's Aranadanada, and bringing potters from Hagi to start. In 1876 (Meiji 9), upon hearing of the quality clay in Sakatsu, the kiln was moved there, initially constructing a kiln at the foot of Mount Kabuto (also known as Kozan, Kamutozan, Hachimanzan, Ryuzan), naming the pottery "Kamutoyaki" and using a stamp shaped like a helmet for authentication. Later, Kamutoyaki was renamed Kozanyaki, and the kiln stamp was changed to "Kozan" or later to "Nishiyama" after the kiln built at the foot of Mount Nishiyama. Eventually, the pottery came to be known as Sakatsu-yaki based on the place name. Since the beginning of the Showa era, kiln stamps of "Sakatsu" or "Sakatsu" have been used. Vase size Width 14.3 cm Depth 14.5 cm Top 11.7 cm Bottom 13.5 cm Height 24.3 cm Weight 2400 kg Box size Width 15.2 cm Depth 15.3 cm Height 28.3 cm Total Weight 3420 g Condition: Condition is good.
