Sonora, Mexico
These remarkable gold crystals, found in the dry Sonora Desert, is an exceedingly uncommon and unique location, often difficult for collectors to acquire. It was unearthed within a local quartz vein abundant in pockets of crystallized gold. The crystal's display flat reflective surface with geometric crystal habits, highlighting clearly defined spinel crystal patterns and some gold specimens have a very thin layer of dark red iron oxide on the surface. On the opposite side, it features naturally dense crystal clusters with a very bright shine and intricately sharp crystalline exterior. These gold specimens are exquisite with a deep, rich yellow hue, representing an outstanding example from its specific locality.
