You can make your object available for pickup if you want to give buyers this option. The pickup only option is limited to specific object types. This ensures your object can reach a wider audience – not only buyers who can collect it in person.
How to make your object available for pickup
- Select the ‘Offer free pickup’ option in the Shipping section of the submission page.
- Upon buyer payment, the buyer will receive an email inviting them to contact you via the Message Centre to schedule the pickup
If your object has not been collected
If the buyer hasn’t collected the object yet, contact them via the Order page to arrange a suitable pickup time. The buyer is obligated to collect the object, and as the seller, you must keep it available until the collection takes place.
If the buyer doesn’t respond or hasn’t collected the object within 10 days, contact our Customer Support team so we can help you find a solution.
If a third party collects the object
If the buyer arranges a third party (such as a courier or agent) to collect the object, the buyer is responsible for the entire process. Before handing over the object, always confirm that the collection is officially arranged by the buyer. Don’t release the object unless you’re sure the person collecting it is authorised.
If the buyer wants to switch from pickup to shipping
If the buyer originally selected pickup but now wants the object shipped, you can agree to this change together.
If the object was listed as pickup required, we encourage you to be flexible and work with the buyer to find a solution – this helps ensure the sale can be completed successfully.
