Good packaging helps your object arrive safely, keeps buyers happy and ensures smooth shipping.
Read our Packaging Tips here.
Special packaging by object type
- Wine and bottles – keep upright, wrap individually, use molded protectors and leak-proof recyclable bags.
- Luxury objects and jewelry – wrap in soft, protective materials, use tamper-proof recyclable packaging, and avoid shipping labels that display the object’s value or contents. If using a label where this information is required, make sure it isn’t easily visible or can be concealed where possible.
- Glass and porcelain – cushion each object separately, fill empty spaces with recyclable paper.
- Furniture and bulky objects – disassemble when possible, pad corners, use pallets with recyclable protection for very large objects.
- Vehicles, fine art, and fragile antiques – these require special handling, consult your shipping or transport company for approved packaging.
