Smart shipping is Catawiki’s integrated shipping service designed to make selling easier, safer, and cheaper.
- After a sale, you receive a prepaid shipping label – no need to buy one yourself.
- You print and attach the label securely.
- Drop off the package at the assigned shipping company’s service point (or arrange pickup if supported). Make sure to keep the proof of deposit provided by the shipping company when they collect or receive your shipment – this may be required if something goes wrong with the shipment.
- Tracking updates are automatically linked to the order, so you don’t need to add them manually.
Why use smart shipping?
- Lower costs: in most cases up to ~28–35% cheaper than buying labels yourself.
- Time savings: labels are auto-generated.
- Optional insurance: insure high-value objects up to €10,000 (excluding vehicles).
- Full tracking: buyers and sellers can follow every step in real time.
- Combined shipping: multiple objects from the same buyer can be shipped together (EU only). Exceptions apply.
The buyer pays for shipping during checkout. We’ll then provide you with the prepaid label. You don’t need to advance any shipping costs yourself.
You can also add a packing and handling fee to cover packaging costs.
