If you selected smart shipping when submitting your object, there are some situations where the order can only be handled with manual shipping. If any of the following apply, contact our Customer Support team to switch your shipping method:
- Your object exceeds the smart shipping size or weight limits.
- The buyer’s address changed after checkout, so the original shipping label is no longer valid.
- The buyer is in the Canary Islands or another area outside the EU customs territory.
- The object is restricted from shipping or does not meet the terms and conditions of the shipping company used for smart shipping.
- The object was returned to you and needs to be shipped again.
- You need to use your own contract with a shipping company instead of smart shipping. We recommend only doing this when necessary.
What happens to the smart shipping label cost if I switch to manual shipping?
If you switch from smart shipping to manual shipping, we’ll first check whether the smart shipping label can still be cancelled.
If the label hasn’t been created yet, or can still be cancelled, you won’t be charged for it.
If the label has already been created and can’t be cancelled, the shipping company may still charge us for it. In that case, we’ll deduct the non-refundable label cost from your payment.
Keep this in mind before asking us to change your shipping method.
