At Catawiki we want to ensure that the items in our auctions reflect the unique, harder to find objects of value that bidders are looking for.
This is why we have set per category a minimum estimated value a lot should achieve in auction in order to be admitted.
During lot evaluation our in-house Experts carefully review and select admittable items, considering various aspects and product characteristics that determine the quality and influence the value an item is expected to sell for in our auctions.
At Catawiki we auction classic and modern collectable cars of premium quality in various price ranges, which are appealing to passionate car enthusiasts and collectors.
For our classic car auctions we seek:
Classic cars
- older than 30 years
- that are in condition grade 1 to 4
- that have a minimum market value of €7,500
Modern classic cars (youngtimers)
- older than 15 years*
- that are in condition grade 1 to 3
- with a maximum mileage not exceeding 10,000 km per year per age of the car
- that have a minimum market value of €7,500
Barn finds
- older than 30 years
- that are in a condition grade 4 to 5
All cars need to be accompanied by documentation proving legitimate ownership.
