Getting your submission ready

1. Fill in all the details and write a clear description

When you submit an object, you’ll see fields to guide you in providing the right information, e.g. type of object, condition, etc. These fields ensure your listing is clear, searchable, and easy for bidders to understand.

Please also use the object description field to share:

  • Unique features or notable history of the object
  • Dimensions, especially total hanging length for ceiling lamps
  • What is included/not included (e.g. packaging, accessories)
  • Where the object came from/how it was obtained
  • If the object has any flaws or signs of wear (e.g. scratches, fading, marks) or restorations done
  • Note: please refrain from including details unrelated to the object. For instance, any self-promotional advertising for your social media channels will be removed.

Tip: The more detail you provide, the easier it is for bidders to understand the value of your object – and the more likely it is to sell. Find here more tips on how to write a clear, accurate description.

📌 Examples of a well-written description:

  • Example #1:

“Foldable table lamp by Fase, MINI model, white edition. Designed by Tomás Díaz Magro in 1969 for Industrias Fase.

The base features a geometric pattern lacquered in white over an iron counterweight, with a chrome arm that allows adjustment of position and height. Adjustable brown lacquered shade. The lamp offers multiple positions and heights. Double E14 sockets for candle-shaped bulbs. The lamp can be fully folded, with the cable and plug stored inside.

The lamp is in vintage condition: it shows signs of wear on the base, as shown in the photographs. Please review the photos carefully, as they are part of the product description”.

2. Great photos matter

Photos are the first thing bidders see – so make them count! We recommend including 7 high-quality images that clearly show the condition and details of your object. This helps bidders make informed decisions and increases your chances of a successful sale.

Your photos should include:

For all submissions:

  • All angles (front, back, top, bottom and both sides as well as the interior to show the electric parts)
  • Images of the wiring and other details, such as all the parts of a chandelier, including chain and canopy
  • Close-ups of marks, signatures to confirm authenticity

For grouped submissions:

  • Group photos and individual shots

Tip: Use a neutral background (white or black), avoid low-quality or stock images, and aim for natural lighting. Find here more tips on how to take professional photos.

📌 Examples of good vs. bad photos:

  • Well-lit photos, taken against a clean, neutral background clearly showcase the lamp’s shape and details, while poorly lit photos, taken in a cluttered, visually distracting environment make it harder to focus on the object.

3. Additional proof of authenticity

We pay extra attention to ensure authenticity of high-value objects and exclusive to protect bidders and ensure a trustworthy marketplace.

For high-value or designer objects:

✔ Provide photographs of labels, stamps, signatures or editions

✔ Include original documentation or catalog references if available

✔ List the designer and manufacturing brand clearly

📌 Examples of high-value objects:

For exclusive, rare, limited-edition objects:

✔ Only authenticated signatures or markings are accepted
Must be verified by the original producer or a reputable third party
✔ Other proof may be accepted at our discretion (e.g., photos of signing event)

X No unverified signatures or limited markings without authentication

📌 Examples of accepted vs. rejected exclusive objects:

  • The lamp on the left is accepted because it includes clear photos of the product, the brand label on the base, and the original box.

  • The lamp on the right is rejected because there is no visible brand marking or label shown, making its authenticity unverifiable.
