Claims & Unsold Lots
I've been notified that I can sell my object to the highest bidders. What does that mean?

For certain objects that don’t reach their reserve price during auction, you have the opportunity to offer them to the highest bidders. This allows you to still sell your object without having to resubmit it.

How it works:

  • If your object is eligible, you'll receive an email asking if you want to extend an offer.

  • If you agree, an offer will be sent to all eligible bidders at the same time (for objects with a top bid under €2,500).

  • The first bidder to accept and pay wins the object.

For objects between €2,500 and €5,000, offers are sent sequentially – first to the highest bidder, then the second, and third if needed.

For objects over €5,000 Catawiki directly contacts the highest bidders to help you make the sale.

Key details to keep in mind:

  • Once you receive the email, you have 2 working days to make an offer.

  • The highest bidders (for objects under €2,500) get 72 hours to accept and pay.

  • Buyers must pay immediately upon accepting.

  • If a buyer pays, you’ll be notified and need to ship the object within 3 working days.

Want to save time in the future?
You can enable auto-offers in your settings. This gives highest bidders the chance to buy for 90% of the reserve price as soon as the auction ends.
