A fun old zither by the violin and zither builder Johann Hornsteiner from Passau. The zither looks good and sounds (as far as I can assess) good. Unfortunately some strings are missing. The body, with glossy lacquer, is undamaged and has minimal traces of use. A beautiful silver/silver-plated engraved neck and with pearl inlays (see the detailed pictures). All accessories are still included after all those years (for example the folding wooden stand for sheet music). See all pictures for a realistic impression. The case has fitting traces of aging, the outside has a beautiful patina, and the lock even still works with the original key. All in all a decorative, but also still functional instrument for an enthusiast. This lot is sent by registered mail or can be picked up in Zwolle, the Netherlands.
