Solid bronze mortar from the 20th century, manufactured by Henry Wegewaert Jr. (son of Wolter Wegewaert) working in Deventer ca. 1600-1620. with text 'LOF GODT VAN AL Ao 1607'. This mortar was, at that time, given to the Admiralty of Amsterdam as metal object. This mortar is decorated with ornate relief/decorations and stylized Dolphin handles on either side.
