Mayers (20th century) - Bloemstilleven

Description: Oil painting of a flower still life after 17th century example. The painting is of good quality and signed with the English name Mayers. We are not able to provided a biography on Mayers. The painting is painted on plywood, which refers to the early twentieth century. The plywood panel is glued on a panel of wood fibre (see photo 12). Condition: Generally the painting is in a good condition. The painting only has minor damages along the edge because of the frame. These damages are not visible once the painting is framed because these disappear behind the groove of the frame. Top centre of the painting, right of the red flower, is a small smudge (photo 8). This stain is barely visible and thus, is unobtrusive. The plywood panel is not sawed straight on the top right (see photo 11). This is also no problem, because it is invisible when painting is framed. The painting has no restorations and no craquelure. In addition, the painting has been recently cleaned. Shipping method: The painting will be packed with care and shipped registered. The painting can also be picked up in Lisse (Netherlands).
