Arsa DH, men's wristwatch from the WW2 period in line with ‘Wehrmachtswerk’ rules (military characteristics of the German army). This watch has been described by Konrad Knirim in his book ‘The Bible of Military Watches’ excerpts of which have been added among the photos. The alphanumeric code D 11313 H engraved on the case back stands for ‘Dienstuhr des deutschen Heeres’ (Service watch of the German military land forces). This watch is a rare specimen of a lot manufactured by express order and with precise characteristics of the Wehrmacht. Exclusive calibre ARSA 173 (A. Reymond Ltd Tramelan Swiss Unitas, company founded in 1898): its founder, Auguste Raymond, toured the world to present his watches and demonstrate their extreme robustness and resistance. The watch is all original. Characteristics: Serial number: 11313 Case diameter: 34 mm (excluding crown) Nickel-plated brass case. Screw-lock steel case back. Fixed lugs. Small seconds at 6 o’clock. Calibre Arsa Unitas 173 hand-wound mechanical movement, with 15 jewels, in perfect working order. Anti-schock mechanism as required by the Wehrmacht departments. Completely original dial from the period with a beautiful patina. Very well preserved, in very good cosmetic condition, however, please note the obvious signs of age-related wear on the case (see photos). Original leather strap from the period! Total length: 23 cm No box or papers. The watch is in working order, and keeps good time (it has recently been serviced). An item for connoisseurs and enthusiasts of the type. Express shipping with tracking. Carefully packaged and protected.
