Alois De Laet (Antwerp 1866-1949 ) was a Belgian painter. At first he painted melancholic landscapes. This evolved during the years of war to more bright work. Can be counted among the Belgian luminists. He was co-founder of the group ‘Eenigen’ and a member of the group ‘Vie et lumiere’.There is work by the painter in the Museum of Antwerp. He is mentioned in Belgian art books as an ‘internationally renowned painter’. Signature is half underneath the frame and title in pencil on the back.
