Girard-Perregaux - 352-532 Quartz - Men - 1970-1979

Up for auction is a famous great grandfather of quartz watchech – Girard Perregaux cal. 352-532. The watch is unique, but what makes it extremely rare is the case shape – three layer cut coffin like (9474 HA). I’ve seen only one similar in NET. It looks great on wrist! It is very probably that You will never see the similar one. DETAILS Case: 40mm(with crown)/50mm/14mm. Stainless steel case and case back (mod. 9474 HA) – clear, in very good condition, extremely unique. Dial: original, nearly mint condition. Crystal: lens shape mineral crystal – has some scratches. Crown: not original to watch. Bracelet: stainless steel original oyster GP bracelet. It will fit 19 cm wrist. Movement: great, one of the first quartz movements cal. 352-532. First with 32 khz frequency (it set the standard for future). Working condition. The 352 contains no jewels, instead it uses teflon bushes, the material is unlikely to chip or crack like conventional ruby jewels and is also self lubricating. No oiling to this movement – it would destroy it! Date quickset works well only in vertical position – crown down - so cleainig is recommended. This doesn’t affect using of the watch. The watch changes date properly at 24.00. Service history unknown, so the watch should be serviced and cleaned right after purchase. This is great, very high quality vintage quartz watch. It would be superb addition to buyers collection. Vintage premium quartz watches are the fastest value gainers present days and this trend will raise in the future. All custom payments are on the side of buyer. The watch will be securely packed and send with priority and signature confirmation. Happy auction to all.
