Emile Picault (1833/1915). France. Standing Vercingetorix, a Gallic King from Auvergne, who was head of the Gallic Revolt against the Romans in 53-52 BC. The sculpture is titled VINCERE AUT MORI (overcome or die). Beautiful and well preserved, only one small stain on elbow (see photos), the bronze patina is somewhat jaded and is not all over. Well packed and shipping with tracking code.
