De Tomaso - Deauville Blindato - 1986

Unique Armoured Edition specimen, rare De Tomaso Deauville second series with 89,000 km. Fully armoured De Tomaso for Mr Keller, owner of Keller company that provided trains for the Italian State Railways. This peculiar car was requested by the owner after he exposed a magistrate getting bribes to protect wealthy Sardinian entrepreneurs from groups of kidnappers. The magistrate committed suicide by shooting himself during the trial. Fearing repercussions, Mr Keller requested this fully armoured model fitted with CB radio and fire fighting system. Fully armoured in top quality Kevlar fiber. One of a kind (there’s only another specimen, but from the first series, which is displayed at the Italian Police Museum). Only 89,000 km with original mechanics. Car stopped indoors for over 20 years, so it needs to be serviced to return to working order. “Preserved” car with first paint, healthy and rust free, with signs of ageing and non-use. Interior in very good conditions considering its age. All the historical documents of the car are attested by the Italian police and Guardia di Finanza. However, the car has no documents and is sold only with purchase contract, sales invoice and ACI chronological report. It is possible to register the vehicle in Italy through ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano). Please check if the vehicle can be registered in your country. Transport option with a company specialised in national and international shipments, at buyer’s charge (very interesting rates), upon agreement between the parties after the sale. At the end of the auction, if you are the winning bidder, please contact us immediately for a quote and to arrange everything. Please note: We are not responsible for the transport. Should the vehicle not be sold in Italy, it will take a few days for the arrangement of the transport and the completion of the administrative procedures of export in accordance with the applicable laws. Costs for export documents and transport fees shall be entirely borne by the buyer. The costs will be communicated after the sale, according to the country of destination. The car can be viewed and picked up in Monza (Italy).
