Renault - R1095 Dauphine Gordini - 1966

Original Dutch delivered Renault Dauphine Gordini of 1966. Unique car because it originally is delivered with disc brakes all round This rare Dauphine was on 29/03/1966 new delivered by Van der Vliet and Bak in Goes (nowadays: Auto Centrum Goes B.V.). Bodywork and paint of this Renault are in very nice condition. The engine of this Dauphine Gordini, which is in the back, is still in good shape and runs nicely, and the 4-gear manual transmission shifts well. The interior is in neat and original condition, the headlining is recently renewed. The Renault Dauphine was one of the first prototypes which were equipped with an engine that is very similar to that of the 4CV, but the final implementation had an enlarged capacity of 845 cc. The Dauphine was officially released on 6 March, 1956, at the Palais de Chaillot. In 1957, some minor changes were made to the Dauphine. So for example, the small round pedals disappeared. In February 1958 the name Gordini could be read on a Renault for the first time. The Gordini was, unlike the normal Dauphine, equipped with a 4 speed transmission, the first of which was still not synchronized. The maximum speed was now increased to 128 km/h by the intervention of Gordini. This forced even the speedometer to be customized: the maximum mileage of 130 km became 150 km. Even the list of sporting victories grew steadily: - Win in the thousand-mile race - First place in the general classification of one of the toughest rallies of Monte-Carlo. - Absolute victory in the tour of Corsica This sporty Renault Dauphine Gordini is as you read a startling appearance on the road and is ready to go out! Car is on Dutch license plate and you are welcome to come and view this car in our showroom and possibly do a test drive before you bid. This vehicle can be viewed and picked up in Oldemarkt, the Netherlands.
