He met Camille Hilaire and Claude Weisbush in 1949 who guided his first step in the pictorial art. Marcel Genay entered in the fantasy and wonderful world in 1966. He lived in Biarritz from 1967 until his death in 1993. He travelled the world and his artwork are exhibited in galleries everywhere. He travelled a lot in Sweden where he regularly exhibited which brought richness and romantic nostalgia to his compositions. Marcel Genay illustrated the collection of famous poet Louis Guillaume. Many TV documentaries, national and regional press articles, article in science fiction “Horizon du Fantastique”, Marcel Genay’s poems inspired many artists. One of his poem was selected to appear in the Anthology of Contemporary poets. His work today belong to many private and galleries collections.
